Abstract: This research article explores the theme of women's sensibility in Kannada poetry, which is a significant aspect of the rich literary tradition of Karnataka. The emotional and intellectual depth of female experiences is beautifully portrayed through various genres of poetry in Kannada literature. The portrayal of women poets and their portrayal of themes such as love, grief, social struggles and gender-based experiences reflects a deep sensitivity that challenges social norms and gives voice to the often marginalized female perspective. The article traces the evolution of this sensitivity, examines prominent poets and their works and highlights how Kannada poetry has been a space for expressing the emotional landscape of women. By critiquing the socio-cultural contexts, this article examines the impact of women's sensibility in poetry on society, literature and culture. Through an analysis of the works of both female and male poets, the article discusses the continuing relevance of the female voice in contemporary Kannada poetry.
