Abstract

This paper delves into the evolution of feminist themes in 20th and 21st-century English literature, examining how feminist thought has shaped and been shaped by the socio-political context of the times. Through an exploration of key authors and seminal works, the paper traces the progression from early feminist literature, characterized by the struggle for women's rights and suffrage, to contemporary feminist writings that engage with intersectionality, gender identity, and global feminism. The analysis highlights the ways in which feminist literature has responded to and influenced societal changes, offering a comprehensive overview of its development over the past century.
