Shafts that transfer rotational motion frequently use universal joints, which can handle angular moments in any direction. It usually consists of two hinges coupled by a cross shaft that are 90 degrees apart and adjacent to each other. It is widely used in industrial applications and automotive drivelines to join mismatched shafts. The automotive sector is looking into composite materials as a way to reduce weight without significantly reducing vehicle count or reliability. This is due to the strong correlation between a vehicle's fuel consumption and weight reduction. The recommended task for this project is to design and analyze the Universal joint for the selected load situation.
