Purpose: This study aims to thoroughly and methodically evaluate the effectiveness of yoga as a treatment during osteoarthritis (OA). Research Methods: We browsed through databases such as Science Direct, Google Scholar, PubMed, and the Cochrane Library, obtaining 170 articles in all. Findings: finally, ten studies with reporting yoga intervention in OA patients were included in the analysis. Yoga practice significantly improved pain relief along with functional ability amongst patients with OA in comparison with the placebo group, according to the data. However, when it came to tasks of daily living, the routine based Yoga practice did not show any discernible improvement. Conclusion: Yoga not only helps OA patients feel less discomfort and tightness, it also improves their physical function. On the other hand, significant advancements in terms of daily tasks have not been adequately shown.
