Abstract

In agricultural land, when the soil pores located inside the root zone of plants become saturated with water present in the subsoil, air circulation within the soil pores stops completely. This remarkable phenomenon is known as waterlogging. Water system Due to excessive seepage through waterways and reservoirs as well as lack of adequate effluent disposal, the water level in the field rises to such an extent that the entire root zone of the crop in the field becomes saturated, and free movement of the crop occurs. Air gets blocked in the root zone. This results in reduced effectiveness of the dewatering, and the amount of product produced is reduced.
