Abstract

Abstract: The garment sector, a cornerstone of global manufacturing and trade, is highly dependent on efficient supply chain and logistics management. This analytical study explores the complexities, challenges, and opportunities within the supply chain and logistics framework specific to the garment industry. Given the sector's reliance on diverse and often geographically dispersed production processes, managing the supply chain effectively is critical to maintaining competitiveness and responding to rapidly changing consumer demands. This study examines key components of supply chain and logistics management in the garment sector, including procurement, production, inventory management, transportation, and distribution. It investigates how these elements are interlinked and the impact of external factors such as globalization, technological advancements, and trade policies on supply chain efficiency. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, this research identifies the most significant challenges facing garment manufacturers, such as delays in material sourcing, cost fluctuations, and the complexities of coordinating with multiple suppliers across different regions. It also explores the strategies employed by leading companies to optimize their supply chains, including the adoption of digital technologies, lean manufacturing practices, and sustainable logistics solutions. The study further evaluates the role of logistics management in enhancing supply chain resilience, particularly in the face of disruptions like the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, and environmental concerns. It assesses how companies are adapting to these challenges by diversifying their supply chains, investing in local production, and implementing risk management frameworks.
