Abstract

By cultivating critical life skills and personality traits, extracurricular activities enhance academic learning and contribute to students' overall growth. Students can develop their creative, leadership, and cooperation skills, as well as explore their hobbies, through these activities. Participating in sports, the arts, music, or volunteer work enhances communication abilities, emotional intelligence, and time management—all of which are essential for both career and personal success. A sense of responsibility and dedication are also fostered, discipline is encouraged, and physical and mental well-being is enhanced by such activities. Engaging in extracurricular activities helps children become more resilient and self-assured, which helps them overcome obstacles and adjust to different situations. They also give students a stage on which to express themselves and develop their identities, assisting them in realising their talents and passions.Students who combine their academic and extracurricular activities develop a well-rounded personality that equips them for difficulties in the real world, holistic growth, and a happy existence. This essay aims to demonstrate the value of extracurricular activities for students' overall personality development. This report attempts to investigate how extracurricular activities affect students. The data used in this study came from a variety of internet sources, as well as a large number of research papers and articles that were published in various journals.
