Christianity had reached India at the very outset of the Christian era, or in the first century A.D. You might be surprised to learn that Christianity originated in India before it spread to England or Western Europe, and that even in Rome, it was despised as a forbidden sect, according to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
