PHOTOCATALYTIC DEGRADATION OF NIGROSIN DYE USING ROSE FLOWER EXTRACT WITH NICKEL OXIDE NANOPARTICALS
Abstract
The current study consists of nickel oxide nanoparticals (NPs) synthesised using the green synthesis method. Nickel Nitrate 6H2O was employed as a precursor. The composition and structure were studied using XRD, FESEM, EDX, UV-Vis, and FT-IR. The photocatalytic degradation of Nigrosin dye was investigated utilising Nickel Oxide nanoparticles. The reaction rate was affected by a variety of conditions, including pH, semiconductor quantity, Nigrosin dye concentration, and light intensity. The process was monitored spectrophotometrically and followed pseudo first order kinetics.
