A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SMARTPHONE ADDICTION AND SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY AMONG ADOLESCENTS
Abstract
Smartphones are devices that give real-time information and have powerful processing capabilities. They have reduced inequities in Internet access and created more equal possibilities for many individuals. A significant number of smartphone users habitually carry their devices at all times and use them around 150 times daily. Additionally, a considerable proportion of young individuals dedicate over 6 hours of their day to smartphone usage. There is a hypothesis that the increasing reliance on smartphones among students and young people could suggest a shift from using cellphones out of habit to using them in an addicted manner
