An Analytical Study on the Effects of Technology on Political Engagement and Mobilization
Abstract
This study explores the impact of technological advancements, particularly digital platforms, on political engagement and mobilization strategies. By analyzing survey data, the research investigates how digital tools influence voter behavior, enhance campaign strategies, and shape political participation. Findings reveal that while a significant portion of respondents acknowledges the crucial role of digital platforms in facilitating targeted outreach, real-time engagement, and personalized messaging, there is notable skepticism among others. This skepticism underscores the need for a balanced understanding of the benefits and limitations of digital technology in political contexts. The study concludes that digital platforms have transformative potential but must be integrated thoughtfully into political strategies. Recommendations include leveraging data analytics for targeted communication, addressing issues of misinformation, and promoting media literacy. Future research should further examine the evolving role of digital technology in politics to refine engagement strategies and enhance democratic participation.
