Abstract

Rasa theory is one of the earliest theories in Indian dramaturgy. It is believed that Bharat was one of the first person to talk of Rasa. He has discussed it in the sixth and seventh chapters of his famous treatise Natyasastra. It was actually meant for drama which a composite art is meant to be performed.
