Abstract

In today's scenario, digital banking has become an essential service. The demand for digital banking tools like mobile apps has risen significantly, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Reports indicate a 200% surge in new mobile banking registrations and an 85% increase in mobile banking traffic. However, rural customers seldom use digital banking due to factors such as lack of awareness, difficulty in handling applications, and security concerns. This study focuses on improving digital banking adoption in rural areas and understanding the negative perceptions that hinder its usage. A simple random sampling method was used to select 100 educated respondents for the study. A structured interview schedule was employed to collect data, and the results were generalized to represent the larger population.
