Abstract

This project shows how to use an Arduino's random function with LED dice. In this project, the face of a dice is represented by LEDs. Seven LEDs are required to produce each of a dice's six faces. A resistor is used to link a push button to the ground. Resistors are used to link each LED's cathode to the ground. To meet the criteria, LEDs are then attached to the Arduino. The Arduino has a ground connection. Finally, pin 6 of the Arduino is linked to the button, which is connected to the Arduino's 5v. The Arduino IDE is provided with code to produce the desired result. When the code is run, the LEDs will get random outputs that will cause them to light erratically, like a dice.
