A STUDY ON IMPACT OF PMAY-U ON STANDARD OF LIVING OF HOUSE OWNERS IN RAIPUR DIVISION IN CHHATTISGARH STATE
Abstract
India, with its vast population, has a significant portion of people who are either poor or belong to the average-earning middle class. For these individuals, owning a house, a basic necessity, often feels out of reach due to the high costs associated with private builders and the general real estate market. Many cannot afford to purchase their own home, as the prices are far beyond their financial capacity. Recognizing this challenge, it becomes the government's duty to step in and provide affordable housing options for the masses. Pradha Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) is solution to this problem and till today many are benefitted. The question arise, up to what extent these houses are really beneficial.
