The Role of International Law in Global Conflicts

Abstract

International law, a complex web of treaties, customs, and principles, serves as a cornerstone of the global order. It aims to regulate the conduct of states and other international actors, promoting peace, security, and justice. While its effectiveness in mitigating global conflicts is often debated, international law undeniably plays a crucial role in shaping the international landscape and influencing the behavior of nations. One of the primary functions of international law is to establish norms and standards that govern the interactions between states.
