"THE STATUS OF WOMEN IN 21ST CENTURY INDIA: CHALLENGES, EMPOWERMENT, AND THE ROLE OF MEDIA"
Abstract
Abstract: This study examines the obstacles and progress of women's empowerment in twenty-first-century India. Despite tremendous national development, women in India continue to confront systemic discrimination, assault, and neglect, which undermines their dignity and growth. The disparity between constitutional promises and the hard realities of women's life remains significant. The media's portrayal and coverage of women's concerns has a significant impact on public opinion and knowledge, yet it frequently falls short of solving the underlying causes. The introduction of new media and technology has the potential to significantly empower women by providing them with tools to improve their socioeconomic and political status. The study emphasizes the critical need for society and government action to bridge this gap, ensuring that women in India can lead empowered lives.
