Smart Price Negotiator: An Integrated NLP and Reinforcement Learning Based Chatbot for E-Commerce Applications

Abstract

The evolution of e-commerce has heightened the need for intelligent, real-time negotiation systems that enhance user experience and streamline transactional workflows. This paper presents Smart Price Negotiator, a novel chatbot that automates price negotiation using a hybrid framework combining Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Reinforcement Learning (RL). Designed to mimic human bargaining behavior, the chatbot interprets user inputs, identifies negotiation intent, and dynamically generates optimized responses to reach mutually agreeable outcomes.
