Abstract

This project develops a machine learningbased system to recognize fruits and vegetables from images and predict their calorie content. A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is used to classify the type of fruit or vegetable based on the input image. For calorie prediction, a Random Forest regression model is employed, trained on a dataset of labeled calorie values. The integration of CNN for image classification and Random Forest for calorie estimation provides an accurate and efficient solution for dietary analysis. The system is deployed via a Flask web application, offering real-time food recognition and calorie prediction
