Abstract

Dornyei (2007) identifies four qualities that a competent researcher must possess. According to Dornyei (2007), the first quality of good researchers is "they have a genuine and strong curiosity about their topic," which indicates that beginning researchers are motivated by their enthusiasm and sincere curiosity about their subjects.
