Abstract

Despite being one of the materials utilized the most in the world today, plastic's manufacture and disposal have a significant negative impact on the environment and landfill space. Recycling allows for the material to be recovered from used plastic and then used to create new plastic products like particle boards, plastic lumber, and containers. Prior to this, the waste plastic will be shred into small bits so that it may be shipped and ready for additional processing. In the end, the vast quantities of these different kinds of plastic that are currently being marketed will wind up in landfills or other waste disposal sites. Because of this, waste products are causing problems because of the amount of garbage they produce, their inability to biodegrade, and the fact that their short life cycle causes the fastest depletion of natural resources.
