Abstract

The White Tiger, a gripping book by Aravind Adiga, offers a compelling prism through which to study the complex effects of globalization upon India's customary social structure. Alongside the main character, Balram, this study sets out to analyze the changing dynamics of this transition. The study explores the difficult realities of adaptation and change encountered by traditional societies through an analysis of key moments and personalities. The investigation reveals the complexity of the impact of globalization. It deconstructs the idealized idea of development and exposes the difficulties people like Balram have as they try to make their way through a world that is changing quickly. The study reveals the wider economical and cultural effects of globalization through Balram's story and provides a balanced viewpoint on the potential and challenges brought about by global interconnectedness, while also shedding light on the victories and hardships of those caught up in the wave of societal change. The novel challenges the social and economic mechanisms that perpetuate inequality, arguing that social change is only possible by challenging the status system and creating new chances for oneself and others. The impact of globalization on Indian society is multifaceted, leading to both economic growth and social inequality, as the rich become richer and the poor struggle to access basic necessities. This study not only broadens our comprehension of The White Tiger but also serves as a basis for a critical examination of modern-day India. The study sheds light on the changing effects of globalization on tradition by following the "White Tiger's path," providing important predictions for the future of India's various groups.
