Abstract

Vipassana is seen as an excellent tool for self-actualization and a commendable measure for positive mental health because of its existential basis, which is based on the recognition of inevitable suffering (Dukkha) and the sincere encouragement to diligently strive for the ultimate goal of complete liberation (nibbana).
