Yoga is the invaluable treasure handed over by our ancestors to the posterity. The sage Patanjali, who lived somewhere between 200 BCE and the 4th century CE formulated these instructions into 196 Sutras or maxims which were made concise to the extent possible to enable their reciting and oral transmission possible. It aims at teaching mankind to understand the three components of human nature, the physical, mental, and spiritual.
