Abstract

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), a crucial cereal crop globally, serves as a staple diet for a substantial portion of the world's population. The use of chemical fertilizers in modern agriculture poses environmental risks in the pursuit of higher yields. Conversely, applying urea and phosphorus offers a potential avenue to mitigate some of these risks. In line with this objective, a field trial was conducted during the Rabi season of 2022–23 at Rama University's agricultural farm in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, to investigate the impact of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization on wheat growth and yield
