Abstract

Abstract: This study conducts a comparative analysis of anti-discrimination laws in India and the European Union (EU), examining their effectiveness in promoting equality and combating discrimination. The paper analyzes the legal frameworks, institutional mechanisms, and implementation strategies employed by both jurisdictions to address discrimination based on race, gender, religion, and other grounds. The findings suggest that while both India and the EU have made significant progress in enacting anti-discrimination laws, there are significant differences in their approaches, with the EU's framework being more comprehensive and effective. The study recommends that India can learn from the EU's experience and adopt a more robust approach to combating discrimination.
