Trimanganesetetraoxide (Mn3O4) nanoparticles have been prepared through simple chemicalroute. However, homogeneous nanoparticles of Mn3O4 are obtained. The crystallite sizeranges from 20 and 30nm. In this material once subjected to a controlled annealing in water medium at 80°C for concerning an hour yielded stage pure nanocrystalline particles of manganese tetraoxide and a pure tetragonal formation as revealed by apattern of X-ray diffraction(XRD). The HR- E M investigation ,reveals that the spherical morphological structure of Trimanganese tetraooxide and Energy Dispersive spectroscopy is used to identify that thecomposition of elements were present. The vibrational studies fromFTIR measurementsconfirmedthepresenceof Mn-O bonding.
