Abstract

A study was conducted to find the effect of Inductive and Deductive Methods of Teaching on Achievement in Science of Secondary School Students in Relation to Cognitive Styles. Achievement test was constructed by investigator herself to measure achievement in science and 5 lesson plans on the selected topics of science were constructed and standardized by investigator herself. The group embedded figure test (GEFT) 1971 by Oltman, Raskin and Herman administered to identify cognitive styles. Descriptive statistical techniques such as mean, standard deviation, K-S Test were used to check normality of data. 2X2 ANOVA was employed on achievement post test scores
