Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the perceptions of work-life balance and voluntary retirement plans among employees of public sector enterprises, which have been recognized as the backbone of the country's progress. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Indian Telephone Industries are the two companies that were chosen for the study. The two titans who borne the brunt of the work in shaping the local population and economy. When seen from a broader perspective, these two companies are very similar. From a narrow viewpoint, nevertheless, it is difficult to distinguish between the two companies because one is a Navratna subsidiary and the other is a losing venture. The two companies also use different approaches to understanding their different objectives.
